Yes, it is highly recommended that a qualified technician install your NXR product.

Yes, all NXR gas ranges may be converted into LP. An LP Conversion Kit can be ordered separately for the liquid propane option. The conversion must be done by a licensed professional, otherwise your warranty may be voided.

All NXR gas ranges are factory Natural Gas. An LP Conversion Kit can be ordered separately for the liquid propane option.

All NXR ranges do not come with gas line connections. We only supply Natural Gas (NG) regulators.

Yes, always use a three pronged outlet that is properly grounded.

NXR ranges do not come with a timer.

NXR uses German-manufactured sealed burners. Depending on your model, they are either dual burners or single stacked burners. Sealed burners are most commonly seen in residential kitchens and are easier to clean. Open burners, on the other hand, have exposed vents, and are generally more for commercial use.

Current NXR ranges are gas ranges, but dual fuel ranges will be coming soon.

All NXR ranges come in stainless steel befitting a pro-style range.

Yes, please install your anti tip bracket. It will help prevent the range from tipping over and can prevent damages or injuries.

Yes, the feet of the range can adjust up to 2½ inches, simply by twisting the feet.

Never leave children unattended while the range is in use.

Continuous grates are level across the cooktop, and allow for pots to slide easily between burners. NXR ranges all have continuous grates.

The burner knobs may not be completely turned off. Turn the knobs to the “off” position. If the smell does not go away after doing this, turn the main gas supply off and schedule a service visit by calling our customer service at 1-888-909-8818.

Does the smell disappear when the burner is lit?
It is normal to smell gas for up to four seconds after igniting the burner. The smell will go away after the burner is lit. If the smell does not go away when the burner is lit, turn the main gas supply off and call our customer service to schedule a service visit.

The burner caps may not be installed properly or may have been moved. Make sure the burner caps are properly positioned.

The regulator supplied with the unit may not be installed properly. Please ask your professional installer to install it or schedule a service visit by calling our customer service at 1-888-909-8818.

There may be a smell the first time you use your oven. That is completely normal and is due to the oils burning from the oven cavity. It is recommended that you run a proper burn cycle prior to cooking food for the first time, essentially like breaking in the oven. Please remove any zip ties keeping the oven racks in place before first use.

Yes, all ranges need a range hood ventilation.

No, we strongly recommend a Professional Series hood with all NXR Professional ranges. A down draft is not available on our NXR Ranges.

Don’t worry, this is normal. Do not block the vent or the oven burner cover vents.

Yes. Ovens have factory oils that will burn off. Rid oil faster by putting the oven on bake for 15 more minutes or by wiping oven with hot sudsy water before use.

New appliances are wiped clean with solvents at the factory prior to shipping. The Burn-Off Procedure burns off any remaining processing residue. Failing to perform the Oven Burn-Off Procedure before first use may result in undesirable odors, flavors, and smoke when you use your oven for the first time.

Replace or reinsert the light bulb if it is loose or defective. Use gloves or a small wash cloth when handling the light bulb. Touching it with your fingers may deposit oils on it and thus cause it to burn out prematurely.

Check your thermostat, thermostat replacement might be needed.

This allows people to safely handle heavy dishes without the risk of tipping over (such as large, roasted turkeys, etc.).

All NXR burners are made in Germany.

No. Never use foil. It will cause clicking to the range top burners.

Make sure there is no draft in the room. Liquid may have boiled over onto the cooking surface and burner caps. Use a soft cloth to wipe away any spills.

The burner cap may have been moved. Check and reposition the burner cap into its proper position.

The burner ports may be wet or clogged with food particles. Make sure the burner port is dry. Clear clogged burner ports with a wire or straightened paper clip.

If your gas cooktop was converted to LP gas, please check the regulator or low flame adjustment to ensure they are correct.

The burner cap that covers the igniter may have become slightly displaced, thus making it difficult to ignite the gas rings. Check that all burner caps are properly placed.

The igniter ports may be dirty. Carefully wipe the igniter with a cotton swab dampened with water after the igniter has cooled down. Gently scrape soil off with a tooth pick. Avoid exposing the igniters to excessive water as a damp igniter may not light up. Remove any lint that may remain after cleaning. Check igniter for any signs, like being loose or broken.

Ignition will be quicker if a cooking pan is in place on the grate. Ignite the gas at full and once alight, turn down to around 50%. It should lock on within 6 seconds.

The main gas supply may not be turned on. Check to ensure that it is turned on.

Does the burner click when the burner knob is in the “on” position? If yes, you may have a wiring issue at the outlet that the appliance is connected to. Turn off the main gas supply and contact a qualified electrician to fix this.

Does the burner click when the burner knob is in the “off” position? If yes, check for the following:

Burner caps are properly placed and the igniter is not wet or dirty.

Check to see if the regulator supplied with the unit is installed properly. The arrow on the regulator should be pointing to the appliance. Please call a professional installer or schedule a service visit with our customer service at 1-888-909-8818 if the regulator has not been installed properly.

The burner cap is out of alignment. Adjust the cap so that the tab fits into the notch in the burner base. See picture below.

When an electrical power connection has been activated at the first power up or reconnected after an outage, the igniters may spark once or twice even though all burner knobs are in the off position. If igniters continue to spark, please schedule a service visit by calling our customer service at 1-888-909-8818.

This may be caused by the presence of water due to cleaning the cooking surface with excess water or water boiling over onto the cooking surface and entering the appliance. This problem will cure itself once the cooking surface dries out. If the problem persists after several days, please call our customer service to schedule a service visit.

The igniter box may have failed, if so, please call our customer service to schedule a service visit.

Preheat is necessary for delicate foods that have short baking times, such as cookies, cakes, and muffins. These types of foods need more precision timing for good results. Conversely, roasts and casseroles do not require as precise timing.

Do not use foil to cover any porcelain area. Doing so will affect the life of the porcelain, and may cause damages.

Shiny, aluminum cookie sheets with a single lip are preferred. Please do not use the oven burner cover to place your cookies to bake. The oven burner cover has vents. Do not block the vents. Only place the cookie sheets on the racks.

Use a portable meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. It is safe to serve when it reads 165 degrees in the stuffing or 175 degrees in the turkey thigh. Remove the turkey from the oven and allow it to stand covered with foil for 15 - 20 minutes before taking the final reading.

For more information about food safety for poultry, call the USDA's Meat and Poultry Hotline: 1-800-535-4555.

No, this is not necessary. All modern ovens require that the oven door be closed while broiling or using the oven. This reduces the amount of heat in the kitchen as well as the risk of melting your knobs. Please do not leave the oven door open for cooling.

An oven that has a fan, which constantly recirculates the heated air has "Convection" mode. The hot air is better circulated, and the air around the food maintains a steadier temperature, which helps food cook more quickly and more evently. Another advantage is that the moving air dries the foods outside surface, while the inside remains moist, for that crisp and brown.

Use low-sided, metal pans so that the heat can reach a much as the foods surface as possible.

No, the convection fan will only function when using baking.

NXR ranges are not self-cleaning.

The oven interior is coated with porcelain enamel and can be cleaned with commercial oven cleaners. Follow the cleaner manufacturer’s instructions. Do not use on door gasket, igniter, or infrared ceramic broiler. Sometimes, putting a pan of water inside and running the oven for an hour will help loosen built up gunk.

Do not use cleaning agents while the range is still hot.

For everyday use, start with hot, soapy water and a soft cloth. Wipe dry. Finish with a damp micro-fiber cloth. Make sure to wipe in the direction of the grain/brushed finish. Do not use polish.

For optimum appearance, use a stainless steel cleaner to remove smudges and fingerprints and follow up with a stainless steel polish to make unit shine. Cleaner and polish should not be used daily. Once every couple of weeks should be adequate.

Use dishwashing soap and warm water. Let them soak, rinse, and wipe clean with a soft sponge.

Place the grates in a sink of hot, soapy water and let soak for 15-20 minutes. For tougher stains, add a cup of sudsy ammonia to the water. Make sure grates are thoroughly dried after each cleaning. After the cleaning process, NXR recommends lightly coating the bottom of the grates with a cooking spray and then blotting them dry.

When the oven is cool, and after each use, use a cloth and warm soapy water to clean the interior oven door window to remove baked-on stains. Rinse with clear water and dry thoroughly.

For tough stains, use glass cleaner. Follow cleaner manufacturer’s instructions.

Remove and clean racks and guides in hot, soapy water. Rinse well and dry thoroughly.

Yes. Both can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
